Study Illustration at a Top Art Institute, Earn a Pratt Degree, and Become an Illustrator

What is illustration?

To put it simply, illustration is the art of picture-making for the purpose of communicating ideas and information. It is this purpose that differentiates illustration from other forms of painting and drawing.

Pratt’s world-renowned curriculum and prestige combined with PrattMWP’s small campus and 10-to-1 student-to-faculty ratio has produced some of the finest illustrators in the world. From children’s book illustrators to technical illustrators to graphic illustrators – our students continue on to all types of illustration careers.

Our illustration students are limited only by their imagination.
