PreCollege Programs
Due to COVID-19, the Summer 2021 precollege program has been canceled.
Experience art college life at PrattMWP College of Art and Design, Pratt Institute’s upstate New York extension campus in Utica. PrattMWP’s campus features modern, fully-equipped studios, on-campus residence halls, and the world renowned Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute Museum of Art.
Our precollege programs give you the opportunity to immerse yourself in an intensive studio environment while living on campus, taking college level classes, and developing your portfolio. The strength of your portfolio will be one of the most important factors when applying to art and design colleges and universities, and it will be a key component in determining your scholarship eligibility. In addition, students who participate in the precollege program and apply to PrattMWP will be given special consideration during the admission decision process and the granting of merit based scholarships. Questions regarding scholarships may be directed to our Office of Admissions.
This innovative college-level program is open to high school students who are at least 16 years of age by July 1, 2021, and do not exceed the age of 18 years during the duration of our programs.
