𝙏𝙃𝙍𝙊𝙒𝘽𝘼𝘾𝙆 𝙏𝙃𝙐𝙍𝙎𝘿𝘼𝙔 Raise your hand if you guessed that back in the ’90s, right here in what’s now our Sculpture Studio, Alex Katz was hanging out and chatting with students about his work? (Anyone??) In 1991, Munson hosted a retrospective of Katz’s drawings—bringing the renowned artist to Utica and giving these lucky students a chance to speak with one of the most celebrated painters of our time.
