There are plenty of familiar faces you’ll meet on the Pratt Munson campus during Orientation next week—one of the cutest and fuzziest is Cricket. 🐶 Cricket (b. June 8, 2022) is a three-year-old connoisseur of Pratt Munson culture. His main medium is photography (obviously—where the coolest people hang out), though he’s recently become “printmaking-curious,” sometimes sneaking into the print studio to investigate the inky commotion. When not snoozing in the photo studio, he pursues his true performance art: Stuffed Toy Deconstruction at Record Speeds. Squeakers are a personal challenge, and victory is inevitable. The remains often become collaborative sculptures with his dad, Douglas—abstract masterpieces from the ruins of beloved toys. Off-duty, he enjoys hallway sprints, treat negotiations, and daydreaming about the cafeteria—a utopia of dropped chicken nuggets he can only imagine. As a Gemini, Cricket is equal parts charming studio mascot and chaos gremlin. Just don’t use flash—he’s an artist, not a spectacle.
