Introduction

Munson (also known as Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute) and Pratt Munson College of Art and Design (the “College”), collectively referred to herein as “Munson” is committed to providing a learning and working environment in which all interpersonal relationships are based upon respect and dignity. The health, safety, and well-being of all members of the Munson’s community are Munson’s primary concerns. In furtherance of the mission of Munson, and in accordance with various federal and state laws, including Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (“Title IX”) and the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (the “Clery Act”), as amended by the Violence Against Women Act/Campus Sexual Violence Act (“Campus SaVE Act”), as well as Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the New York State Human Rights Law, and the New York State Education Law 129-B (“Enough is Enough”), Munson is committed to maintaining a community free from all forms of sex discrimination, sexual harassment and sexual violence, including sexual assault, sexual exploitation, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking. Persons found in violation of this policy will be subject to appropriate disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment of employees and suspension or expulsion of students.
